Feed-in and information obligation for doctors

As doctors, we are legally obliged to enter your medical findings into the ePA after each treatment—unless you object to this. You do not need to give reasons for your objection; it is sufficient to simply invoke your right to object.

Note differences in objections

We can and may only accept objections that relate to the data entry in connection with your treatment at our practice.  If you do not want us to enter your data,  please let us know. If you wish to object to the ePA in its entirety, you must address your objection to your health insurance company. We as a practice are not responsible for this. Most health insurance companies also offer objection forms on their websites for this purpose.

Benefit or risk?

From a medical point of view, we see great benefits in the ePA for patients and practitioners. However, we are medical professionals and not IT experts. Therefore, we cannot assess any potential data security risks and cannot advise you to use or refrain from using the ePA.
Ultimately, it is your personal decision, which you should make in an informed manner.
